Ever since my trip to India I’ve been fascinated by elephants. I love their kind nature, extremely impressive physique and strength. Since the 5th of September there’s been an Elephant Parade in Amsterdam. This lovely initiative displays huge statues of elephants across Amsterdam. The elephants are painted by artist from across the globe.

The Elephant Parade is held for the third time and lasts until the 31th of October. On the 12th of November the statues will be auctioned to the highest bid and the profits will be donated to the Elephant Family. You can also go to Amsterdam and paint your own little elephant or buy smaller versions of the big ones. Below you can view a selection of my favourite pieces.

I was in a good mood and wanted a desktop image that fitted my mood. This little digital painting put a smile on my face and is really a lovely combination of cuteness, prettyness and excellent colours!

Chris Brown is such a joke!
The video Chris Brown released to apologise for his behaviour is such a joke! It’s 100% staged and it comes across as insincere. How can anyone believe this guy any longer? There are no excuses for physical violence towards any living creature.

New Year, New Look
I redid the theme of my blog, finally! A bit late, but I wanted a new look for the new year and update some stuff. I’m going to add another page to the blog about games and what they are exactly and I’m working on setting up a company, Platform B7 (which also desperately needs a website). But for now, I’m downloading World of Warcraft again (don’t hate) and playing some lovely independent games. I’ll post something fun soon.
Internet Explorer/Word bugs
If you’re viewing this site in Internet Explorer (instead of the way cooler Firefox), then you’re probably noticing the following sentence in some of my posts: “!–[if gte mso 9]> Normal 0 21 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 <![endif]–”
I’ve contacted WordPress about it and they’ve said that it’s caused by Word. If you copy paste stuff from Word into WordPress, it’ll cause this bug and these sentences will appear. They say you can remove it manually, but that’s not the case for me. If I want it removed, I’d have to remove all the posts, put them in Notebook and copy paste them again in a new entry. Needless to say, I’m not doing that. From now on I’ll be posting my stuff directly from Notebook though. The only thing you can do, if you’re experiencing the same problem is to stop using Word!
Piko in the Snow
After the holidays, Maastricht got snowed under and still is completely white. It’s really wonderful! It’s extremely cold, but also extremely fun. Our cat, who hasn’t been outside since we moved, tried out snow and the results weren’t pretty. Watch the video to experience the exciting adventure.
